Spoiler alert! This story discusses some of the eliminations that occurred on the first night of The voice Season 26 Knockouts. Episodes can be streamed with one Peacock subscription if you’re not caught up.

It’s no surprise that Snoop Dogg was a bright spot The voice since joining the 26th season TV program 2024. The fans enjoyed listening his shockingly good vocal abilities and seeing him make fun friends with him the other Agree trainer and his team members. However, it seemed pretty clear to everyone that he might be in trouble when it came to the eliminations. Well, Snoop just proved there’s a way out: Don’t let anyone go home. The DO Double G dominated the first night of Knockouts and I particularly liked the unique experience it provided for contestant Christina Eagle.

All three Team Snoop participants avoid elimination in Knockouts Night 1

This season sees the return of Three-Way Knockouts, where three team members compete against each other and their coach selects only one to advance to the playoffs. However, each coach gets a save and a steal to keep things interesting. According to Snoop Dogg – with Sting as his mega-mentor – chose Austin’s Stancil Winner of his first knockout after an emotional performance dedicated to his father, the rapper decided to use his save on Christina Eagle. Then Gwen Stefani swooped in to make the save Jake Tankersleyleaving Team Snoop virtually unscathed. The rapper was downright joyful as he told his colleagues:

Have you all noticed that all three of my peoples are still here? Do you know what I’m saying? If you really lay it down like that, they’ll never go away. You simply change location.

None of the other coaches could say the same after the November 11 episode, with Gwen Stefani losing two and Reba McEntire losing one (she Teenage contestant Jaukeem Fortson lost the knockout but was stolen by Michael Bublé). Speaking of Bublé, technically he didn’t send anyone home, but Tanner Frickwho he stole from McEntire in the Battles, eliminated himself before the Knockouts, so he still lost a team member.

It was a great night for Team Snoop, but something pretty unique happened to one particular artist.

Christina Eagle got the four chair turn treatment

When Christina Eagle sang Lainey Wilson’s “Wildflowers and Wild Horses” at the blind auditions, only Snoop Dogg turned his Big Red Chair. However, she had a completely different experience at the Knockouts. After losing her knockout to Austyns Stancil, Eagle was not only saved by her trainer, but all three other trainers also pressed steal. In this way, what was once a one-chair turn became a four-chair turn, and Eagle had the power to choose which coach she wanted to continue with.

I honestly thought she might jump to Gwen Stefani’s team since the two were drunk on each other the whole time, but she stuck with the coach who picked her from the start. Even though she’s technically just continuing on the journey she was already on with Team Snoop, I love that she’s there now because it’s her choice and not just because he was the only one who took a chance on her .

How far will Christina Eagle fly in the competition? How high will Snoop Dogg and his team climb in Season 26? Tune in to find out. Episodes air Mondays and Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC.
