‘Spy Kids’ actor arrested after alleged domestic violence incident

Robert Vito, an actor best known for his performances in Spy childrenwas arrested Friday following a suspected domestic violence incident.

As TMZ reports, law enforcement responded to the 37-year-old’s Los Angeles-area home Friday evening after receiving a call about the alleged incident.

Sources close to the situation told the outlet that Vito and his girlfriend got into a verbal argument that allegedly turned physical, with the actor reportedly pushing her against an unspecified piece of furniture. The actor also allegedly threw his young son onto a couch before knocking him down.

Police reportedly found the son relatively unharmed, but Vito’s girlfriend had visible marks on her body.

Vito was arrested on domestic violence charges Friday evening and released the next morning after posting $50,000 bail.

Vito starred as Rez in Spy Kids 3: Game Over in 2003. In the early 2000s, he also made appearances on a number of TV shows including Buffy the Vampire SlayerTthe Bernie Mac ShowAnd American dreams.
