Stratford police are searching for a wanted man following a drugs raid

STRATFORD, Texas (KFDA) – Two people have been arrested and another is still on the run after methamphetamine was found in a car in Stratford.

According to Stratford Police Chief Richard Coborn, a Stratford police officer stopped a 2018 Ford Explorer on Monday at approximately 7:20 p.m.

Coborn says there were three people in the car, a white woman and two African-American men.

After probable cause was determined, a search of the car was conducted.

The officer found a suitcase in the vehicle containing approximately 45 pounds of methamphetamine.

Officials said when the officer picked up the case containing the meth, both men began fighting the officers.

The woman, identified as Brittany Wilson, and a man, identified as Brandon Canady of Saint Joseph, Missouri, were arrested.

The other man got back into the Ford Explorer and drove away.

The man is described as a 5-foot-10 black male with braided hair and light facial hair.

The suspect car is a dark gray 2018 Ford Explorer with Missouri tag JJ0J6T.

The car was last seen traveling east on Highway 54 in Stratford around 7:30 p.m.
