The Bears could use Caleb Williams for Tyson Bagent due to their offensive woes

Never in a million years would you have thought that a team that had both Caleb Williams and Tyson Bagent on its roster would consider playing Bagent and not Williams. Not even for a second.

The Chicago Bears could be the one-in-a-million team.

It’s no secret that Chicago has been struggling lately. The Bears have lost three straight games 4-2 since the start of the year and have scored just 27 points in the last three weeks. This includes the lifeless game Chicago just played against the Patriots.

One would think that given Chicago’s start to the season, the team wouldn’t overreact to this admittedly terrible stretch. One would also assume they would remain completely loyal to the man they drafted as their franchise quarterback.

Unfortunately, that may not be the case. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Chicago is considering benching Williams for Bagent.

“I expect them to make some kind of change in Chicago on the offensive side of the football. Does this change the play caller? Does this change the quarterback and replace Caleb Williams with Tyson Bagent? I think all of these things will be discussed in the building today.”

There you have it, folks. It’s not certain if this will happen, but it sounds like it’s legitimately being discussed. This fact alone is quite shocking.

We’ll see what the Bears ultimately decide to do when the time comes.
