The Great British Bake Off leaves viewers blushing with the “rudest episode ever” as Sumayah is thrown out of the tent after a meringue meltdown

Fans of The Great British Bake Off were left red-faced after Tuesday’s episode, which was dubbed the rudest ever by viewers.

The latest episode of Channel 4’s hit baking show was full of innuendo and jokes, helped by judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood’s choice of technical challenge and showstopper.

This week the bakers were tasked with whipping up a spotted dick for the technical portion of the show.

The desert led to hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding making a series of remarks that raised eyebrows and shamed viewers.

During one scene, Alison said to the bakers, “You have two and a half hours to get your cocks ready.”

One of the participants then replied, “I need a finger, I have a man for that, that’s his only purpose,” as they tied the suet pudding together with a piece of string.

And after a series of more outrageous innuendos, viewers took to X to share their thoughts.

Many branded the jokes as tasteless, describing them as “pure filth”, while others enjoyed the lewd comments.

Fans said: “The double entenders on #GBBO are now more like unambiguities.” Gill: “I need a finger.” I have a husband for that.” Pure dirt.

While another wrote: “Me briefing the technical challenge… God I love Bake Off references.”

A third said: “Alison and Noel are confused by these innuendos.”

And another commented: “Absolute smut on #gbbo this week.” My dear.’

While other fans began to find the jokes tiresome, they wrote: “I love the Bake-off but I find Noel and Alison very irritating.” I don’t find the constant innuendos amusing. Fun for once, but they keep pushing – very childish.

“The bun references got tiring after the twentieth time.”

And it wasn’t just the viewers at home who joined in, some of the bakers also inadvertently added fuel to the fire with their comments.

After reading through Prue’s recipe, one said: “I’ve never seen spotted tail before, I’ve never tried it before,” while another added: “My friend told me spotted tail is very beautiful. “

And once they were done baking, it was Dylan who took victory after his traditional dessert impressed the judges the most.

Dylan’s spotted dick was so popular that he was named star baker.

But while Dylan looked to be having his best week yet in the tent, Sumayah was less successful.

The Lancashire student had a nervous breakdown over her meringues and suet puddings and said goodbye to her fellow bakers.

Speaking about her time on the show, Sumayah said, “I feel like it wasn’t one particular event that let me down, but just a series of mistakes here and there.”

“I have learned to have more confidence in myself and my ideas. You learn a lot from everyone and I feel like I’ll take a piece from everyone.

“I learned that I am capable of accomplishing difficult things and that I give myself credit for them.

“It’s easy to dismiss success just because you did it, but the amazing support from everyone really opened my eyes.”

“Not only did I work hard to achieve what I did, but I also feel very privileged to have had this experience.”
