The LA Lakers call up Bronny James before the game against the Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers will face LeBron James and the LA Lakers on Friday evening. Due to their extensive injury report, the Lakers decided to draft their most notable young player.

One of the biggest storylines earlier this season was that LeBron got to share the court with his son Bronny James. On opening night, the two shared a historic moment when they entered the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves together.

Earlier this week, reports surfaced that the Lakers sent Bronny James to the G-League to start their season. However, they quickly changed their minds before Friday’s game with the Sixers. It was recently revealed that Bronny is one of several players the Lakers have called up for this game.

While Bronny will now sit on the bench for the Lakers, there is no telling whether he will actually have time against the Sixers. JJ Redick hasn’t offered him much on the floor, and it’s been bad times lately.

It’s worth noting that Bronny just made his fourth appearance of the season earlier this week. He played four minutes against the Memphis Grizzlies and recorded his third and fourth career points during that time.

As for the Sixers, they begin their second half of the season trailing two of their stars. Joel Embiid is serving the second of his three-game suspension and Tyrese Maxey is out with a hamstring injury against the LA Clippers. The undermanned squad will now rely on Paul George as the only star to lead the attack.
