In honor of the theme, the show created “the most coveted swag of all festivals” for onstage clues, complete with its own merch wall, because without merch there’s no festival!

The episode also saw a surprising about-face from the panelists, in which they (hilariously) addressed the elephant in the room. “This is the longest time we haven’t received anything [guesses] right,” emphasized Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg. Ken Jeong added, “Group B was empty for all of us.” In fact, none of the panelists correctly guessed any of the eliminated candidates from Group B, but McCarthy-Wahlberg, ever an optimist, concluded, “Together we make a good one.” Brain.”

…Except maybe Robin Thicke. Jeong got a chance to roast him for a change when Thicke was caught not paying attention during this exchange. “Right, Robin? Are you even paying attention right now? Are you even listening?” Jeong scolded him.

Despite Jeong’s opportunity to intervene, the series never lets him go through an episode without taking a hit himself. Later that evening, Jeong joked to host Nick Cannon, “You look like the back of a poker deck,” to which Cannon replied, “You look like my grandmother’s couch.” Touché.

However, the topic was not the only start of the evening. Backstage, McCarthy-Wahlberg was touching up her makeup when Rita Ora excitedly walked up to her after the contestant’s performance to share a brand new guess for Macaron.

After everything was said and done, Ora was able to put her theory to the test as it turned out that Macaron was the first costume to go home from Group C. Thicke guessed Ariana Madix and Jeong chose Gypsy Rose Blanchard. Ora, meanwhile, held on to her mid-episode revelation from pro surfer, author and shark attack survivor Bethany Hamilton. McCarthy-Wahlberg liked the guess so much that she won it, and in the end both women on the jury proved to be correct, as Macaron was indeed the right one Soul surfer Biopic theme. In doing so, they have officially broken the jury’s cold streak of late.
