The official unveiling show of the FHSAA’s high school football series will air Friday evening

The highly anticipated wait to find out exactly who will compete in the 2024 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) football playoffs is over.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Gainesville-based organization announced that it will host its playoff bracket reveal show via a YouTube livestream on Friday, November 8, at 6 p.m. A link to the official live stream has not yet been added to the FHSAA’s “upcoming” videos on YouTube.

Announcements about who will compete in the postseason were delayed because Hurricane Helene and Milton impacted numerous games across the state and the FHSAA granted an additional week to complete all district-mandated contests.

There are a number of games on Thursday night with district championships on the line, making the final week of games before the FHSAA playoffs kick off even more exciting.

Off the court, there was plenty of chaos in the Sunshine State leading up to the official bracket reveal, as two expected big-league players are disqualified from qualifying for the postseason.

First Academy (Orlando) and Miami Central are two teams that many expected to compete for state championships in their respective classifications, but are sidelined due to rules violations that cost them the loss of all wins for the 2024 season become.
