The Packers are in full force to say goodbye in the first practice

According to Mike Spofford of the team’s official website, the Green Bay Packers were in full force during practice on Wednesday, the first practice following the bye week.

Before Sunday’s showdown against the Chicago Bears, every player was on the practice field and participating in some capacity.

Just as coach Matt LaFleur had hoped, cornerback Jaire Alexander, center Josh Myers and safety Evan Williams all returned to practice after missing the Packers’ Week 9 loss to the Detroit Lions.

The Packers also had rookie running back MarShawn Lloyd on the practice field for the first time since Week 2. The third-round pick is expected to return from injured reserve and could fill the final roster spot before Sunday.

More good injury news: Tight end Tucker Kraft no longer wears a non-contact red uniform in practice, so his shoulder may have significantly improved during the off-bye.

The departure seems to have come at a good time for LaFleur’s team. Several key players, including quarterback Jordan Love, needed to get healthy before the long run.

The first injury report of the week comes later on Wednesday. Then we will know how healthy the team is heading into Week 11.

The Bears expect to be without safety Jaquan Brisker, offensive lineman Teven Jenkins and edge rusher Montez Sweat for Wednesday’s practice.
