The rain subsides and we watch the next weather maker

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – It was a wet Tuesday for Election Day. Rainfall amounts ranged from over a tenth of an inch to about an inch. The low pressure causing the wet weather will move out of the region by the evening, with clouds remaining Tuesday night. Gusty winds of up to 30 mph are possible late Tuesday evening into early Wednesday morning. On Wednesday there are more clouds than sun, but the sunglasses are needed at the end of the work week. The next weather maker comes this weekend with further significant rainfall. Dry weather is forecast for Veterans Day.

The umbrella will be needed in north-central Wisconsin during persistent showers and drizzle until approximately evening. The wet weather will ease by late evening, although some gusty winds could be an issue late evening into early Wednesday morning. Gusts of up to 30 miles per hour are possible, particularly in central Wisconsin. Winds will ease before dawn on Wednesday. Lows Wednesday morning will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s.

There will be quite a bit of sunshine on Thursday and Friday. Highs will be in the low 50s on Thursday and in the mid to upper 50s on Friday.

The next rainmaker is expected to arrive later Saturday. Cloud cover will increase during the day Saturday, with high temperatures in the lower to mid 50s. It will rain at times on Saturday night, but showers are expected on Sunday. Highs in the low 50s. Rainfall of at least half an inch is expected Saturday night into Sunday.
