The Ravens go head-to-head with the Bengals and claim victory in the instant classic

NFL fans may have just seen the best Thursday Night Football game in recent memory.

The Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals battled it out in a game that looked like a Madden game, and it was the Ravens who escaped with a 35-34 win, which was an instant classic on their home turf.

After a 70-yard Ja’Marr Chase touchdown tied the game with about five and a half minutes left, the Bengals dropped what would have been a huge interception, and with the second life, Baltimore took advantage, as noted by Lamar Jackson Rashod Bateman took a 35-28 lead with 1:49 left.

However, Joe Burrow marched right down the field and hit Chase with 38 seconds left for their third touchdown of the night – their first being a 67-yard score.

Cincy was aggressive all night long and this was no different as the offense stayed on the field to score two goals. But the pass to Tanner Hudson (while Chase had 11 catches for 264 yards and three touchdowns) fell incomplete. The referees probably didn’t manage to rudely address the passer and hinder the defensive pass, but unfortunately. Cincy attempted an onside kick, but the Ravens recovered and nearly completed an instant classic.

A total of 34 points were scored in the fourth quarter alone.

Early in the fourth and trailing 21-14, Tylan Wallace barely stayed in the game for an 84-yard score – but Justin Tucker missed the PAT, giving the Bengals a lead. On 4th-and-2 on their next drive from the opponent’s 34, they went for it and a deep pass failed, giving the Ravens the ball with just over nine minutes left.

The Ravens took advantage when Lamar Jackson found a resurgent Mark Andrews for a touchdown and the quarterback then ran in for a two-pointer to put Baltimore up 28-21. But on the very next play, Chase scored a 70-yard score.

The Bengals scored on their first drive of the game after a defensive fourth-and-goal defense gave them automatic first place at the 1-yard line; Chase Brown finished the job, giving Cincy a 7-0 lead. Baltimore responded relatively quickly as Lamar Jackson brought in Nelson Agholor to equalize. Both offenses faltered, but late in the first half Joe Burrow scored from Tanner Hudson in the locker room to give Cincinnati a 14-7 lead.

The aforementioned 67-yard touchdown put the Bengals ahead by two points early in the third quarter, but two drives later Cincinnati lost a fumble and the Ravens took advantage and who but Derrick Henry scored the one-yard score , to make it Another one-possession game.

The reigning MVP in Jackson completed 25 of his 33 passes for 290 yards and four touchdowns, all from different receivers. Burrow’s 428 yards and four scores were a tough loss as the Bengals’ defense once again failed to contain the offense.

In the two teams’ first game of the season, Baltimore won 41-38.
