“The Voice” contestant Tanner Frick unexpectedly leaves the show

After selecting McEntire as his coach, Frick competed against fellow country artist Tate Renner in the Battles round, singing “Need a Favour” by Jelly Roll. Although Frick lost this round, Bublé brought him in for his team.

Cut to the Knockouts news, as Daly simply noted that Frick, a 26-year-old from Manchester, Tennessee, “left the competition after rehearsals.”

EW has reached out to both the show and Frick for comment.

Frick’s departure became public the same day he posted a TikTok of himself singing a song in a recording booth with the lyrics “Ain’t nobody want me anyway.” He captioned it with the same words.

Frick was highly sought after by the music professionals who serve as coaches on the NBC reality competition. Bublé said he decided to add him to his team because he needed a country singer.

“Tanner Frick was a big win for me,” Bublé said after stealing from Frick. “It’s a former four-chair turn and a piece of the puzzle I didn’t have.”

Fans wished Frick well in his TikTok post, with some suspecting he left the series because of a record deal. They were sad to see him go.

Nevertheless, the competition continues The voicewhich airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
