“This is why I hate Khris Middleton;” Milwaukee Bucks fans are angry at 3x All-Star following recent comments from Doc Rivers

The Milwaukee Bucks haven’t gotten off to a good start this year. Ahead of the 2024-25 NBA regular season, there was great optimism among Bucks fans that Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard working together over an entire offseason and training camp would lead to better chemistry on the court. Additionally, Khris Middleton has had an entire summer to get healthy and get back to his former self.

Unfortunately, while Dame and Giannis played well together, the Bucks don’t have many wins. Middleton also has yet to play in a game, as the team is off to a 3-8 start and sits in last place in the Eastern Conference Central Division.

Many believe that Milwaukee can start picking up wins when Middleton is finally eligible to play, but no one seems to know when that will be, including Bucks head coach Doc Rivers.

The Milwaukee Bucks head coach hasn’t even checked in on Khris Middleton’s progress

Before Wednesday night’s game against the Detroit Pistons, Rivers was asked about Middleton’s progress and success in practice.

According to Eric Take from The athleteRivers said:

“[Nothing] that I know. To be honest, I didn’t even check it.

“He’s just progressing and going along with it. I mean, I don’t know what the return date was or that there was a set, so let’s get him healthy so he’ll be ready to play when he’s ready to play.

“As I’ve jokingly said a million times, Doc is just a nickname. And I don’t really know. I checked with the medical team and they told me the same thing. He’s coming there. He comes closer. And basically I’ll pass on the same thing to you…

“I check with Khris and the injured guys how they feel, more human things because Khris wants to play. And he’s frustrated that he’s not. And that’s how it works for a coach, it’s more about the mental stuff, the mental health than anything else.”

Milwaukee Bucks fans were not happy with Doc Rivers’ comments about Khris Middleton

Needless to say, Bucks fans were not happy with Rivers’ comments about the three-time All-Star:

As you can see, fans are fed up with the lack of answers. Clearly Doc is simply doing what’s best for his player. However, fans were told that Middleton would be ready for the start of the regular season if held out of training camp and preseason games.

That wasn’t the case, and while the team continues to struggle, there will continue to be frustrations.
