Three people were arrested in a $150,000 drug raid in Minden

MINDEN, La. (KSLA) – A months-long investigation ended with a drug raid that led to the arrest of three people in Minden who allegedly intended to distribute drugs, including fentanyl.

On Nov. 8, after a months-long investigation, three people were arrested and more than $150,000 worth of drugs were seized during a drug seizure at a home on Moore Street. The raid began at 10:30 p.m. during a traffic stop on I-20 by a deputy from the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office and an officer with his K9 officer Tigo from the Minden Police Department.

Following the arrest and execution of a search warrant at the home in the 700 block of Moore Street, the investigation was completed with the seizure of drugs and the arrest of two Minden residents and a woman from Balch Spring, Texas.

“These drugs were on our streets,” said Webster Parish Sheriff Jason Parker. “We are committed to doing everything we can to stop the flow of illegal drugs into our community and our cities.”

Arrested:

  • Jegerwick Hollingsworth, 33, of Minden, for possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of fentanyl with the intent to distribute to distribute, resisting an officer with violence and speeding.
  • Tereasa Bables, 35, of Balch Spring, Texas, for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute, resisting an officer while fleeing and obstruction of justice.
  • James Birden, 40, of Minden, for possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of ecstasy with intent to distribute and obstruction of justice.

All three were lodged at the Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center and no bail was set.

Parker said 10 pounds of methamphetamine, 10 pounds of cocaine, a quantity of marijuana and a large quantity of pills were found at the Moore St. residence.

“Our departments have been working on this for some time and it really shows what we can achieve when agencies come together,” Parker said. “We thank all the investigators who worked so hard to catch these suspects.”

Minden Police Chief Jared McIver agreed that pooling resources has produced positive results in the city and community.

“I think citizens appreciate seeing police and officers working together to solve crimes and make both our city and our community safer,” McIver said. “We have partnerships that are beneficial for all of our employees.”
