Thunder (8-2) vs. Clippers (6-4)

3 big things

  • Without Chet. The Thunder play their first centerless game of the season and await the eventual return of Isaiah Hartenstein (in weeks) and hopefully Chet Holmgren (in months).
  • With Kenny. Kenrich Williams has recovered from his injury and is available to play for the first time all year. Williams has been a fairly undersized stretch 5 option for Oklahoma City in recent seasons and will soon be used when he’s effective (and perhaps when he’s not).
  • Suddenly there is a lot at stake. So much for waiting for I-Hart and real competition while racking up easy wins. OKC needs every win it can get starting tonight if regrouping remains in question for a 2025 postseason run.

forecast

I hope Alex Caruso plays 30 minutes to chase Ivica Zubac in traffic as much as possible. Because if anyone is spreading a new internal weakness against OKC, it’s James Harden.
