The NBA Cup, previously known as a seasonal tournament, is here: The Detroit Pistons will host the Miami Heat on Tuesday in the first of four group games.

The Pistons lost 106-98 in Miami on October 28 in their fourth game of the season, despite 24 points from Cade Cunningham. They lost the fourth quarter that night 28-19 on 27.3% shooting and were held scoreless for nearly five minutes early in the quarter.

A win would go a long way toward helping the Pistons advance out of the group stage and reach the quarterfinals of the NBA Cup. They play the second game in Toronto on Friday and then don’t play another NBA Cup until November 29th at Indiana and December 3rd against Milwaukee.
