Titans at Chargers: How to watch, odds, expert tips with Justin Herbert in top form

The playoff push continues for the Los Angeles Chargers as they host the Tennessee Titans. A surging Justin Herbert and a ferocious top-10 defense lead Los Angeles – winners of three of their last four games. The Titans struggled to close out games, but took a positive step in Week 9 with an overtime win against the Patriots. The Chargers have an advantage of about a touchdown in this AFC matchup at home.

Herbert looks great after an early adjustment to new coach Jim Harbaugh’s game plan. In his first four appearances, Herbert only averaged 144 yards per game. As he dominated the playbook over the last four games, he nearly doubled his passing yards to 286 per game.

Despite taking more shots down the field, Herbert maintains an impressive 10-to-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio, making up for a difficult running game in Los Angeles. Lead back JK Dobbins regained his strong early-season form in the Week 9 win over Cleveland, giving the Chargers a much-needed boost from the backfield.

A balanced offense is needed to move the ball on Tennessee’s No. 1 defense. The Titans allow the fewest passing yards per game and present Herbert with a tough test.

An ineffective offense prevents Tennessee from advancing. The Titans have only scored more than 17 points in a game twice all season. That’s problematic against a Los Angeles defense that is No. 1 in scoring and allows just 12.6 points per game.

Will Levis is back as the starting quarterback. Mason Rudolph earned a win against New England but will retire after three straight starts as Levis returns from injury. Both quarterbacks are at risk of turnover, with Levis having more trouble taking sacks.

Tennessee’s 12th running game behind running back Tony Pollard has been a reliable bright spot in recent weeks, helping to overcome shaky quarterback play.
