Trump transition live updates: Sen. Marco Rubio has his eye on secretary of state: sources

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced over the weekend that he would lay off 600 employees at the National Institutes of Health and replace them with a new cohort of employees in a dramatic reshaping of America’s health agencies.

Speaking at the annual Genius Network event in Scottsdale, Arizona, Kennedy described his role in vetting people for Donald Trump’s new administration.

“We need to act quickly, and we want these people to be there on January 20th, so that on January 21st, 600 people will be entering the NIH offices and 600 people will be leaving,” Kennedy said. This emerges from a video of his remarks published on YouTube.
