Two women have been arrested in connection with the death of a photographer who was shot outside a Central Florida home, police said.

Lakevia Davonna Pringle, 31, and Savon Chantay Tyler, 35, were arrested and charged in the death of 34-year-old Lauren Ashley Martin, who was shot outside Tyler’s residence in Sanford, Florida, police said in a statement Friday . According to the Sanford Police Department, officers went to Tyler’s apartment shortly after 7:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday and discovered Martin “lying in the roadway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.”

Martin was then taken to an area hospital where she later died from her injuries, police said. Her family told local TV station WESH that Martin was a photographer and had argued with Tyler over the pictures she took.

Police said further investigation revealed the two women were having an ongoing argument as Martin drove to Tyler’s apartment. According to police, the two got into a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation in which Tyler shot Martin multiple times.

Police added that Pringle was present at the incident and broadcast it live on social media.

“During the live broadcast, Pringle can be heard encouraging Tyler to continue the argument that led to Lauren’s murder,” police said. “Several attempts to interview Pringle were unsuccessful due to her lack of cooperation.”

Tyler was taken into custody without incident after the altercation and charged with one count of first-degree murder, police said. Pringle turned herself in Friday after Sanford police issued a warrant for her arrest.

According to police, Pringle was taken into custody and transported to the John E. Polk Correctional Facility without further incident. She was charged with first-degree intentional homicide.

“A family grieves the loss of a loved one because someone chose to resolve a disagreement with violence. What sparked the argument between these two will not be remembered, but Lauren’s loss will remain with her family and friends forever,” Sanford Police Chief Cecil Smith said in a statement. “There are options other than violence.”

Sanford, a city of approximately 65,000 residents, is located in Seminole County and is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford metropolitan area. It is located approximately 25 miles northeast of downtown Orlando, Florida.
