Ty Majeski celebrates his victory in the NASCAR Truck Series championship with a celebration

The celebration is underway for Ty Majeski in Phoenix. Fresh from his championship in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, the drinks are flowing freely. The drinks are even flowing… in his shoes?

A motorsport festival like no other. It was popularized by Australian drivers and racers such as Daniel Ricciardo and Jack Miller and is always well received by fans.

Ty Majeski had an absolutely dominant performance tonight and led all but 18 laps. He’s already made a shoey and I’m sure there are many, many more drinks on the way for the ThorSport rider.

Even team owner Allison Thorson got in on the shoey. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio’s Davey Segal captured this alternative perspective of joy and celebration. Looks like the start of a long night for this crew.

Before tonight, Ty Majeski had never won a race from the pole. He did just that tonight in Phoenix after securing his sixth pole of the season. Majeski had no chance after the jump, he simply had a better truck and was the better driver.

Wisconsin will celebrate. This is their third Truck Series champion from this state, following Johnny Sauter and Travis Kvapil. When all the chips were stacked on the table, Majeski won the pot.

Ty Majeski wins the Truck Series championship

Ty Majeski led 132 of 150 laps this evening. This is the most dominant Truck Series championship racing performance of the playoff era. Majeski works on cars, he worked in the ThorSport workshop before getting the chance to get behind the wheel.

Now he is a champion.

All of Wisconsin will celebrate tonight as Ty Majeski brings home a championship. He was home in the state voting and was fined $12,500 for failing to meet a media requirement. Maybe with this championship, NASCAR can overlook it?

It took him 15 races to reach the checkered flag, but Ty Majeski finished the season with three wins in nine races. He also picked up three pole awards and two runner-up finishes during this period. That’s how you win a championship.

Ty Majeski is a great NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion. This series focuses more on short tracks, the true lifeblood of stock car racing. Majeski has that background. A great race dominated by Majeski and a new champion for the series.
