There are worlds and years between Tyson and Paul’s records.

Tyson made his professional debut in 1985, 12 years before Paul was born.

Over the course of his 20-year career, Tyson won 50 fights and lost just six with 44 knockouts.

He is the youngest heavyweight champion to ever achieve this feat at the age of 20. He is a two-time heavyweight champion and reigned as undisputed champion between 1987 and 1990, defeating the likes of Frank Bruno, Michael Spinks and Larry Holmes.

Tyson retired in 2005 after two consecutive defeats, but has had a few exhibition fights since then – including against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020.

However, Paul enters the competition as the favorite for several reasons.

At 27, he has youth firmly on his side, even if there is a big difference in experience. Paul has built a huge career in the ring as one of the most famous YouTubers in the world.

He jumped on the YouTuber boxing trend in 2018 before having his first professional fight in 2020. Paul has fought a variety of well-known names, but many of them are MMA fighters trying boxing for the first time.

Victories over former UFC fighters Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva were a great spectacle. His only defeat came in 2023 against boxer and Love Island star Tommy Fury.

Paul’s most recent win was against former UFC fighter and bare knuckle fighter Mike Perry in July.

Paul never fought longer than eight rounds and had seven stoppages on his record.

In comparison, Paul boxed 52 rounds while Tyson fought 215 rounds.

How do Taylor and Serrano’s records compare?

The first fight between Taylor and Serrano couldn’t have been closer and they have two of the best records in boxing.

Serrano is the seven-weight world champion, while Taylor is one of the elite clubs of the modern era to win undisputed titles in two weight classes.

Taylor, 38, has 23 wins and just one loss on her record, a loss to Chantelle Cameron in 2023, which she avenged in her next fight.

The 36-year-old Serrano is now one of the most experienced female professional fighters on the scene with 47 wins, two defeats and one draw.

Taylor has one of those wins over Serrano, while the other came back in 2012 at super featherweight against Frida Wallberg.

We saw in the first fight how their styles harmonized perfectly and how many punches were thrown between them. A total of 320 punches were landed in the 10 rounds.

Taylor won a close split decision in an instant classic at Madison Square Garden in April 2022.

The Irishwoman suffered her first defeat since then, while Serrano became the undisputed featherweight champion with five more wins.
