Udonis Haslem names the two NBA legends he “still wants to fight”

The rivalry between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics goes back more than a decade.

The Heat and Celtics fought several battles during the Big Three era that resulted in bad blood between Udonis Haslem and two legends. Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett were two of the faces of the Boston organization at the time, but had each been retired for more than five years.

Still, Haslem didn’t mince his words when discussing the idea of reuniting with Pierce and Garnett. He and Dwyane Wade shared on a recent episode of The OGs podcast that there is a desire to fight the former Celtic stars.

“We would have been in those fights with Boston, with KG and Paul Pierce and them, and they are and there are chest bumps,” Wade said. “People think you’re going to fight. I want to fight! I almost want to fight.”

“That’s the problem. I still want to fight,” Haslem said. “I probably don’t want to be around if we come across any of the names he mentioned. There will be almost nothing.”

The Heat prevailed in both playoff games with LeBron James and Wade at the helm. In 2011, the Heat won five straight games in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, while the Celtics took them to Game 7 in the 2012 Eastern Conference Finals.
