US couple kill each other in violent fight while son plays video game in another room

In a tragic incident last week, a couple in Washington state were fatally injured in a violent altercation in their home while their 11-year-old son was playing video games in another room New York Post reported.

According to officials, the boy, who was wearing earbuds, was unaware of the argument that occurred on Halloween night when his parents were arguing at home. He only realized what had happened when he later found their bodies.

The incident occurred on October 31 in Longview, Washington, about 50 miles north of Portland, Oregon. As the media outlet reported, investigators were unable to determine which of the two was the main attacker.

The victims, Juan Antonio Alvarado Saenz, 38, and Cecilia Robles Ochoa, 39, were fatally injured. Police reported that Alvarado Saenz died from multiple stab wounds to the chest, while Robles Ochoa suffered both stab and gunshot wounds, according to the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office.

After spotting his parents in the kitchen, the boy called 911. Paramedics arrived but were unable to revive the couple. Authorities confirmed the boy was the only other person in the home at the time.

Investigators have since discovered that Alvarado Saenz and Robles Ochoa had ongoing relationship problems and were planning a breakup, according to statements from the sheriff’s office.

A knife and a gun were recovered at the scene. It was later confirmed that the firearm had been stolen from Alvarado Saenz’s employer and was only reported missing after the incident.
