Wade Barrett Hopes for Audio from Shock WWE Moment Leaks – TJR Wrestling

Wade Barrett celebrated a major moment in WWE’s recent history in a unique way.

Since joining NXT in 2020, Wade Barrett has been calling the action from the commentary table. There he developed his commentating skills alongside Vic Joseph and moved up to the WWE main roster in 2022, serving as a color commentator on SmackDown. He is currently behind the booth on Raw alongside Joe Tessitore.

In his early days in NXT, Wade Barrett was known for shouting out Bronson Reed’s devastating finisher, the Tsunami. During an interview with AceOdds, the star revealed that his delivery was thanks to Vic Joseph.

“In the first part of the question, we came up with this together with Vic Joseph in NXT. Bronson Reed was in NXT at the time. For whatever reason, when I first started in NXT alongside Vic in the summer of 2020, the only final move I could remember was Tsunami, and when Vic realized he was just saying : “Okay, that’s the only one I want.” “You should shout,” he’ll call everyone else, but Wade calls out “Tsunami” and “I want you to scream it at the top of your lungs, as loud as you can.” .” I thought, okay, that sounds a little strange.

“I tried it, people loved it, so we kept doing it. I think it really added to the moment, that freak show moment of Bronson Reed, the giant monster flying off the top rope and killing people with that move. So this came about, I hate to give the guy credit, I’m kidding, I like him, but yeah, Vic Joseph is primarily responsible for the idea. He’s a great commentator and we’ll be seeing a lot more of him on WWE programming as the years go by.”

Wade Barrett called the big Bronson Reed moment despite missing it live

Back in August, Bronson Reed shocked fans when he launched a brutal attack on Seth Rollins on Raw that included six Tsunamis from the top rope and put The Visionary on hold for months. Barrett was on SmackDown at the time, but revealed he was able to call in shortly after.

“Now the second part of your question regarding the attack he launched on Seth Rollins. I’ll give you a little behind-the-scenes insight into my life that day. So Joe Tess had announced he was coming to Raw, and we hadn’t quite decided what the team would be or who he would be with. The company actually had a suggestion. “Hey Wade, we want you to fly to the offices in Stamford, Connecticut after SummerSlam, we want you to call Raw live from the studio.”

“While it was broadcast live, they had Joe Tess and I connected to headsets, we had connections to the producers of that particular Raw, and I was sitting in a studio in Stanford, Connecticut with Joe Tess and calling Raw as if we were them Guys calling the show. So I was actually able to witness that moment when Bronson hit those six tsunamis.”

Wade Barrett says there is video of the meeting and he hopes it leaks one day.

“So there’s a video of it somewhere. There is a recording of it, maybe one day it will be leaked. I think three people in the company saw this video. These were the top people who wanted to see Wade and Joe Tess work together, and obviously they liked what they saw and gave us the green light to call Raw together afterward.

“I was allowed to name it; I wish that was a moment I could have added, but it’s really cool to call his stuff again on Raw. I’m a big fan of Bronson Reed and think the tsunami is easily one of the top actions in the industry.”

Seth Rollins got revenge on Bronson Reed by defeating him at Crown Jewel on November 2nd. However, it took several stomps to keep the big man down long enough to count a three-pointer, including one on the steel steps.
