Watch 2024 Election Coverage Live Online Without Cable: Free Streaming

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, Variety may receive an affiliate commission.

Unless you’re heading to a dark movie theater on Tuesday night with Do Not Disturb to distance yourself from the 2024 election (and we wouldn’t blame you), you’ll probably want to find the best places to tune in to the Choose to tune in coverage – whether you’re planning on spending the night with yourself and a bottle of wine or hosting an Emotional Support Watch party.

Whatever the case, cable will be packed with political coverage as votes are counted in what is expected to be an extremely close race. However, cord cutters can still stream election coverage live online through a variety of live TV streamers like DirecTV and Sling TV – they’re currently offering a free trial.

DirecTV Stream lets you stream election night coverage live on ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and all major networks. You can also watch all broadcast channels online for free, plus ABC News, MSNBC and more with a 7-day free trial of Fubo.

Below are some of the top shows to watch on Tuesday nights, from Rachel Maddow to The Daily Show.

The live stream will also be available on the MSNBC YouTube channel. You know what people want…

Although Brian Williams is no longer at NBC News, he is preparing to cover the national spectacle from early evening until the 11th hour. Williams will host a one-night special called “Election Night Live with Brian Williams.” The show, which begins November 5 at 5:00 p.m. ET, will be available to all Amazon customers via Prime Video, regardless of whether they have subscribed to the streaming service themselves.

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Special

On election night, “The Daily Show” will air a live special hosted by Jon Stewart starting at 11 p.m. Like his usual weeknight shows, the comedian and political commentator will begin the show with an opening monologue, followed by interviews and other focus on the evolving election results. You can stream the special live on Sling TV, which is currently offering a free trial, or the next day on Paramount+.
