WBB travels to Illinois on Sunday at 7 p.m. CT

MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University women’s basketball team continues its season-opening road trip with two games at Illinois on Sunday, November 10th.

Sunday night’s contest begins at 7:00 p.m. CT and airs on the Big Ten Network with Jason Ross Jr. (play-by-play) and Shimmy Gray-Miller (analyst). Live stats are available at FightingIllini.com.

Marquette is coming off a 57-50 season-opening loss at UCF on Thursday night.

The Golden Eagles were led by Olivia Porterwho had 14 points, four rebounds, three steals and two assists in 37 minutes. Skylar Forbes (11 points) and Lee Volker (10 points) joined Porter in double figures.

Following Sunday’s game, the Golden Eagles return home to face Illinois Springfield in a Milwaukee Public Schools Kids Day Game on Monday, November 18th. Tip-off from the Al McGuire Center will be at 11 a.m. CT.

GOLDEN EAGLES DEBUT
Olivia Porter, Aryelle Stevens, Jada Bediako, Kennedy Perkins And Jaidynn Mason all made their Marquette debuts Thursday at UCF.
• Stevens made her NCAA debut after spending the last two seasons at NJCAA Gulf Coast State College.

PORTER SHINE IN MARQUETTE DEBUT
Olivia Porter started her first game at Marquette on Thursday night at UCF and led the team with 14 points while adding four rebounds, three steals and two assists in a game-high 37 minutes.
• The Charlotte transfer set career highs in free throws made (8) and free throw attempts (9).

VOLKER’S CAREER HEIGHT IS AT THE FIRST START
Lee Volker made her first career start at Marquette on Thursday night at UCF.
• The senior guard had 10 points, six rebounds and four steals, a career-best.

FORBES SHOOTS THE THREE
Skylar Forbes made three 3-pointers while also making nine 3-point attempts on Thursday night.
• The sophomore finished the season with 11 points, four rebounds, three assists and two blocks.
