Weekly Notes | Holy Cross Football vs. Lehigh

The Holy Cross football team returns from its bye week with a big Patriot League game against Lehigh on Saturday, November 9th. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. at Fitton Field.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Kevin Gehl, Kevin Shea and Faith Cain.

The Crusaders (4-5, 3-0) remained undefeated in the Patriot League this season with a 34-28 win at Lafayette on Oct. 26. Holy Cross took an early 21-0 lead before the Leopards stormed back; The Crusader defense held off a would-be scorer in the final minutes of the fourth quarter and secured the win. In the win, sophomore Daniel Porto kicked the longest field goal in program history, connecting on a 53-yard attempt en route to earning Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

Junior receiver Max Mosey led the Holy Cross offense with two touchdowns – one receiving, one rushing. He totaled 74 yards receiving and 28 yards on the ground, earning him Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors. Sophomore running back Jayden Clerveaux rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown. Senior receiver Justin Shorter totaled 51 yards and scored a touchdown.

Senior safety Curtis Harris-Lopez had a team-high nine tackles and one tackle for loss. Senior safety Ryan Ruane finished the game with eight tackles. Sophomore cornerback Eli Thompson had five solo stops, four pass breakups and one tackle for loss.
