When is the Veterans Day parade in Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa?

Today, U.S. military members and veterans will be honored for their service and sacrifices as parades and other commemorations take place around the Phoenix metropolitan area for Veterans Day 2024.

Veterans Day is a federal holiday. Mail is not delivered; Courts and non-essential federal and city offices are closed; Banks and public schools are usually closed. Some public transport could also be affected.

Parades, community events and live performances will take place on Monday, November 11th. Here’s when the Veterans Day parades start in Phoenix, Tempe, and Mesa, as well as the route the parade takes through each city so you can best see it.

Veterans Day Parade in Tempe

The Tempe Veterans Day Parade begins at ASU Gammage and travels north on Mill Avenue before ending at Tempe Beach Park. Participants include Tempe City Council members, Boy Scout troops, local school marching bands, veterans groups and more.

Veterans Day Parade in Phoenix

The Phoenix Veterans Day Parade was created in 1997 to honor the contributions of U.S. veterans and create a patriotic community spirit. There will be seven experienced grand marshals in attendance. The celebrity grand marshal is baseball legend Luis Gonzalez, former left fielder for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The parade heads south on Central Avenue from Montebello Drive to Camelback Road, then turns east on Camelback Road to Seventh Street, then south on Seventh Street and ends at Indian School Road.

East Valley Veterans Parade

The East Valley Veterans Parade provides the community with an opportunity to honor local military members and their families. The parade begins at Center Street and University Drive in Mesa and travels south on Center Street to First Street, where it turns west and continues to Robson.
