Where Colorado’s football stars play

play

Two-time Colorado football star Travis Hunter is firmly in the running for the Heisman Trophy and could even play a starring role in the 2024 College Football Playoff.

The Buffaloes’ number 24 wide receiver and defensive back had one of the most impressive seasons in recent history and was almost equally dominant on offense and defense. Hunter has 60 receptions for 758 yards with eight touchdowns this season, as well as 20 total tackles with a forced fumble and two interceptions.

The No. 1 ranked recruit in the 2022 recruiting class is expected to be one of the top picks in the 2025 NFL Draft, and it will be interesting to see if he is viewed as a two-way player or prioritized in either offense or defense. Regardless, he should make an immediate impact at the next level.

Hunter, along with Miami quarterback Cam Ward, Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel and others, have the best chance at college football’s top honor.
