WWE’s The Rock addresses reports of unprofessional behavior on Hollywood sets

Earlier this year, Hollywood trade magazine The Wrap published a report that contained damning details about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s behavior on the film set. It was reported that Johnson often arrived on set hours late and had a tendency to urinate into empty bottles instead of going to the toilet. The actor and WWE star recently sat down for a cover story with GQ magazine and addressed the rumors surrounding his on-set actions.

Johnson admitted that he sometimes shows up late on set and “pees in a bottle.” However, he disputed the extent to which the story claimed he was late, stating that the overall report was “bulls**t.”

The story also touched on several people who worked closely with Johnson, including actors Chris Evans and Emily Blunt and director Jon Kasdan. All three came to Johnson’s defense, with Evans explaining that Johnson’s late starts were usually planned in advance and everyone on set knew when to arrive. According to Johnson, he is an open book when it comes to his actions and behavior while filming and he believes in taking responsibility for the things he is actually responsible for.

The actor also spoke about some changes in the way he perceives his career at this point. A few years ago, Johnson had no interest in starring in films that weren’t four-quadrant blockbusters designed to appeal to as many people as possible. Now Johnson has finished filming The Smashing Machine, an atmospheric biopic about UFC fighter Mark Kerr.

Still, he hasn’t given up on family-friendly blockbusters: “Red One” and “Moana 2” are scheduled to hit theaters in the next two months, and the live-action version of “Moana” is scheduled for next year. Despite this busy filming and promotional schedule, The Rock is still expected to make occasional WWE appearances.
