Zach Bryan is back to releasing new music after his breakup Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia – and the dramatic diss track that was inspired by it.

The verse continues: “But it’s not all bad, the windows are cracked / I came down to hear you laughing in the kitchen, baby / Let’s pour some wine, there’s still a little time / And maybe there is.” a little bit left to save me.”

Elsewhere in the tune, Bryan sings, “Shut up, shut up, the world is a giant / I’ve never had a heart of David / I’ll apologize to God for all the trouble I’ve caused / Maybe this is a good one.” Place so I can start.”

Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards dragged Zach Bryan through the mud with their dissident track “Smallest Man” – using the country singer’s own songs. On Wednesday, November 6, the “BFFs” podcast hosts released a five-minute music video defending Bryan’s ex-girlfriend and her co-host Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia. (The […]

The song was first heard on social media in January, months before his split from LaPaglia, 25. Bryan announced on October 22 that the couple had called it quits after more than a year of dating.

“Brianna and I broke up [sic] and I respect and love her with all my heart. She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and I will always thank her for that,” he wrote. “I’ve had an incredibly tough year personally and have had to go through some pretty bad things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us if we took different paths. I’m not perfect and never will be.”

LaPaglia claimed later in the day that she was “surprised” when the musician made the split public.

“I wanted to heal privately and I didn’t even know he was going to post it,” she said in an emotional YouTube video. “We broke up yesterday so I wasn’t ready to do anything publicly. … I just wanted to be injured and lay in bed for a week.”

Following the couple’s split, LaPaglia took a brief break from social media. On October 30, she announced that she was stepping away from her “BFFs” podcast, which she co-hosts with Barstool’s Dave Portnoy And Josh Richardsto “put my mental health first.”

Portnoy, 47, wasted no time defending his co-host following their split. During a recent appearance on The Unnamed Show, he opened up about how he met Bryan last year – calling the singer “a really immature, not confident baby.”

Dave Portnoy doesn’t seem impressed with Zach Bryan after the country singer split from Barstool Sports podcaster Brianna LaPaglia (aka Brianna Chickenfry). After the couple confirmed their split via social media on Tuesday, October 22, Portnoy, 47 — who co-hosts the podcast “BFFs” with LaPaglia, 25, and TikTok influencer Josh Richards – decided to call it quits […]

The push continued Wednesday when Portnoy and Richards, 22, issued a “warning about the next girl” in a Bryan-inspired dissident called “Smallest Man.” (Portnoy previously tweeted a link to Taylor Swift‘s “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” following Bryan’s breakup announcement and wrote, “Dedicate this to @BChickenfry.”)

In the music video for their song, Portnoy and Richards dressed up as police officers and ran over a man resembling Bryan who was driving a pickup truck. The pair call Bryan a “liar” and a “fool” and even reference some of his most popular songs, from “Revival” to “I Remember Everything.”

“This ain’t a subtweet, I won’t be subliminal, you’re great at being country without a second syllable,” Richards sings. “My fist plus your face, easy complement / The way you wronged her is disgusting.”

The song quickly went viral, but was removed from YouTube and Spotify due to copyright issues. LaPaglia hinted on her Instagram Story on Wednesday that fans might see the music video again soon — throwing shade at Bryan in the process.

“The worlds have been pretty rough over the last year,” she wrote, referencing Bryan’s own Instagram Story caption, although she claimed it was blocked. “Re-releases on all platforms at midnight. Now back on YouTube.”
